This Privacy Policy explains how TranslateFast: AI Translator (the “App”, “TranslateFast”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the App. It applies to the iOS version of the App and all core features, including text translation, camera translation, photo translation, voice translation, translation history, and premium subscription services.

1. Summary

No user account registration is required to use the App. Most translation tasks can be processed locally on your device. Certain AI-powered translation, text refinement and voice transcription functions will transmit limited content to authorized third-party cloud service providers to deliver enhanced functional support.

Translation records and application preferences are primarily stored locally on your device. Original camera images and selected gallery photos will not be uploaded to our servers. Voice recognition relies on Apple’s official speech framework; partial audio data may be sent to Apple’s servers for processing according to device and system conditions, and individual enhanced voice transcription functions will adopt third-party cloud processing services.

All in-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store. We do not obtain your complete payment card information. The App integrates third-party SDKs for crash diagnosis, data analytics and marketing attribution. We collect device information and anonymous usage events. The advertising identifier (IDFA) will only be collected with your explicit ATT authorization.

2. Information the App Processes

2.1 Text and Translation Content

When you input text or trigger translation functions, the App will process your source text, selected target languages and translation results to complete service delivery. Basic translation functions adopt Apple’s official local translation technology. For AI translation and intelligent text polishing features, your input text will be securely transmitted to our authorized third-party AI service provider (DeepSeek) for algorithm processing and result generation.

The App supports storing up to 50 local translation records. You can manually delete single records, clear all translation history, reset App data, or uninstall the App to erase all local data at any time. The text data transmitted to third-party AI services is only used for real-time translation generation and will not be stored as your personal historical records by us.

2.2 Camera and Photo Library Data

When you use camera translation, the App will request camera permission and recognize text in images through Apple Vision framework. When you select photos from the device album, we only obtain the single photo resource you selected via Apple’s official photo picker.

Images are only used for real-time text recognition and will not be uploaded to our servers. We will not retain original camera photos or album pictures after the recognition process is completed. The recognized text content and corresponding translation results will be saved in local translation history, and the text content may be sent to cloud AI services for secondary translation and optimization.

2.3 Microphone, Speech and Conversation Data

The App will request microphone and speech recognition permissions when you use voice translation functions. Audio will only be captured during the active listening state of the App. We will not actively save complete local audio recordings after a single recognition session ends.

The App adopts Apple’s SFSpeechRecognizer framework. When the device supports on-device speech recognition, audio data will be processed locally; otherwise, audio data will be transmitted to Apple’s servers for recognition. In addition, enhanced voice transcription functions will transmit audio clips to third-party cloud platforms for accurate recognition and conversion. Apple’s processing of relevant data is subject to its official privacy policy. The final transcribed text and translation results will be stored in local history.

Reminder: Do not input sensitive information such as passwords, payment information and personal health data through voice translation functions.

2.4 Application Preferences and Local Usage Data

The App will store personalized configuration data locally to optimize user experience, including:


The above configuration data is only stored on your device. Meanwhile, we will collect anonymous device status and feature usage events through official servers for product iteration optimization and service stability maintenance.

2.5 Purchases and Subscriptions

All subscription activation, purchase and restoration functions rely on Apple StoreKit and App Store services. Apple will feed back product information, transaction records, subscription status and expiration time to the App for premium feature unlocking and authority verification. We do not obtain your bank card numbers, Apple account passwords or any private payment details.

Apple’s processing of payment data is governed by its official privacy policy and service terms. We will receive anonymous subscription behavior data through our backend for order verification and operational analysis.

2.6 Analytics, Crash Reporting and Attribution Data

The App integrates third-party professional SDKs for operational statistics, fault diagnosis and marketing attribution, including AppsFlyer, Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics, and Meta (Facebook) App Events.

These services may collect anonymous device and usage data, including device model, system version, region and network information, App startup records, function usage logs, crash stack traces, installation and conversion events.

We will only collect the device advertising identifier (IDFA) if you explicitly grant tracking permission via the Apple ATT framework. If you refuse tracking authorization, the App will never access your IDFA data. In addition, our official backend will collect anonymous user identifiers, feature buried point data and subscription events to maintain service operation and analyze product usage.

3. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

We will not actively collect or request the following personal information:

4. How Information Is Used

All processed information is used solely for the following purposes:


We do not sell your personal information. We will not share your personal data for targeted behavioral advertising without your explicit consent.

5. Third-Party Services

The App relies on Apple official platform services, including Apple Vision, Photos Picker, Apple Speech, Apple Translation, StoreKit and App Store Connect. Meanwhile, we adopt the following third-party service providers to support App functions:


Your use of the above third-party services is subject to each party’s independent privacy policy. The current App build does not integrate live third-party advertising SDKs. Any future advertising access will be updated in this policy in advance.

6. Permissions and Your Choices

Camera, photo library, microphone and speech recognition permissions are only requested when you use corresponding features. You may deny or revoke permissions at any time via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security. Denying permissions will disable related functions but will not affect basic text translation use.

You may delete translation history, reset local App data, or uninstall the App to clear all local stored information. You can manage or cancel subscriptions via your Apple Account settings. You may also disable App tracking authorization to block IDFA collection.

7. Data Retention

All local translation records and user preferences are stored on your device and will be retained until you manually delete or clear them. Camera images and real-time audio data are only processed transiently and will not be saved by the App.

Data transmitted to third-party cloud services is retained in accordance with their official retention rules. Anonymous operational and attribution data stored on our backend will be retained for a limited period for product optimization and service maintenance.

8. Security Protection

We adopt iOS official security mechanisms to protect local user data and network transmission data. We strictly limit data collection and processing scope to only functional necessary content. No data storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute data security.

9. International Users & Privacy Rights

If you are an international user, you may enjoy data access, correction, deletion and restriction rights under local privacy laws. For privacy-related requests, please contact us via [email protected].

Most user data is stored locally on your device. Data processed independently by Apple or third-party platforms shall be handled by the corresponding service providers.

10. Children’s Privacy

The App is not targeted at users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you find that minor information has been improperly collected, please contact us for timely processing.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy according to App iteration, service adjustment and legal requirements. The updated effective date will be revised synchronously. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
